APPLICATION OF THE MONTE CARLO METHOD TO DETERMINE OF EVACUATION PARAMETERS FROM SETTLEMENTS

This paper examines a potential application of the Monte Carlo method for estimating the number of people subject to evacuation during floods. Software for the simulation modelling of water disasters is utilized. The proposed method can also be applied to other crisis situations, supporting the planning of response activities and the allocation of necessary resources.
