Abstract

This article presents the steps and the possibility of implementing a reduced “Brute force” attack on a 256-AES encrypted voice stream in a MATLAB Simulink environment. The focus of the study is not on the computational power and the impossibility of performing  calculations, but on the selection of the correct decrypted ciphertext from many candidates. The main idea is that decryption is performed based on signal processing, unlike classical cryptanalysis methods. The analog waveform after decryption and decoding carries information whether the corresponding decryption is a function of the "correct" key or not.
